Trust the Bank with Superior Strength – First Bank Texas

First Texas Bank is one of America’s strongest banks, according to BauerFinancial, the nation’s premier bank-rating firm.

We're Texas strong.

Like the Texans who work the Lone Star State’s oil fields. Like the ranchers who raise famed longhorns and other cattle. Like the police officers and teachers, doctors and nurses, and everyone else who rolls up their sleeves and makes our state run.

In the banking world, strength is represented by dollars and cents, deposits and loans. Using those criteria, First Texas Bank is one of America’s strongest banks, according to BauerFinancial, the nation’s premier bank-rating firm.

BauerFinancial recently awarded First Texas Bank a coveted 5-Star (superior) rating, indicating that we have met demanding standards for strength and stability for the past 30 consecutive calendar quarters. Think of it like this – that streak began way back in the mid-2010s before anyone had heard of covid or TikTok.

Since then, First Texas Bank – which has about $1 billion in assets – has remained strong through econmic ups and downs, international conflicts, the unprecedented pandemic and the highly publicized failures of other financial institutions.

“We’ve all seen what can happen. Banks that are not well-rounded can run into trouble in a very short time,” said Karen Dorway, president of BauerFinancial.” [Our] star ratings take into account a broad range of current and historical data to minimize that risk. That’s one way First Bank Texas’s 5-Star status differentiates it from other banks you may have heard about in the news... because who you bank with does matter.”

Florida-based BauerFinancial Inc. has been analyzing U.S. banks and credit unions since 1983. As Dorway noted, it looks at a wide variety of financial data, ranging from profitability to delinquent loans to even more complex statistics like “risk-based capital ratios.”

Is the average customer supposed to grasp all this? Of course not. That’s why BauerFinancial boils everything down to a simple ranking system for each bank, with one star at the bottom and five stars at the top. And it’s important to note that financial institutions cannot pay for a positive BauerFinancial rating, nor can they opt out if they fear a poor ranking.

Of course, the latest honor only confirms what First Texas Bank customers have long known – we’re a rock-solid financial institution. Since opening in 1880, First Texas Bank has been offering first-rate financial services to North Texas communities, including affordable loans and secure checking and savings accounts.

With each new generation, our customers have learned they can count on us to be there when they need us. With this latest honor from BauerFinancial, they can rest assured their trust is well-placed.
